Ah, 2020—the year the world decided to hit the pause button in the most chaotic fashion. While international travel morphed into a hazardous gamble, many of us, myself included, traded in exotic getaways for the familiar four walls of home. Isolation was the new normal. But let’s not kid ourselves—I had it pretty good. Gregori, the lucky sod, living the dream in a two-story semi-detached haven in Chiswick, complete with a garden and terrace, while the world outside was in turmoil. The roses bloomed in Anna’s garden, unbothered by the global crisis, and life in this little slice of London felt almost too serene.
